There are so many places I want to go! My bucket list is to travel and see all the continents. I can see Antarctica from the cruise ship! I want to see so many things that I have seen in cartoons, movies, and read about in books.
We are planning to go to New Zealand and Australia for my first overseas trip. I am so excited and so nervous. My partner has been before so it helps settle me a bit that he is at least familiar with it.
I want to go to Japan, Cambodia, India, Thailand, Egypt, Morocco, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Ireland, Italy, France, Iceland, Norway, and Spain as my top spots to go.
My number one destination is Greece. I want to see the places I read about in the Greek myths and ancient history so badly. See the region, and experience the distances firsthand. It is my biggest dream. I went along the Oregon Trail and it was incredible to see how far we can travel now versus back then and so humbling to see how far we have come over time.
As a little girl, I was lost to Greek myths and history. It encouraged me to study the Romans and Egyptians, and ever since I have been learning more about other cultures and their beginnings. Greece started it all. All my books have a little nod to the stories that I hold so dear in my heart. Some of them so subtle that you would have had to study it like I did. I read everything I could get my hands on. Even now I love to read the arguments for various interpretations and recontextualizations of history.
A fascinating time.
