If aliens arrived tomorrow, what’s the first thing you’d ask them?

Is it better somewhere else? Is there a way to save our planet the way it is?

With all our capability of doing incredible things, we really cannot move past the big push for capitalism. I am so far removed from the idea that we need to have war, or protect borders. I want to save our planet for all of us. The dream is that we can all afford to live with a liveable wage. We should have time and resources to enjoy our planet and our hobbies. We have plenty of food. We need to figure out how to get it where it needs to go before it spoils. We have so much stuff. That nobody should feel they are without.

Personally, when it comes to talking about aliens, I doubt they would come here unless they have done something worse to their own planet and need resources. I find it hard to imagine that aliens would travel all the way here and still hold petty grudges or have poverty.

I like to imagine that at some point, civilization can move past that. Where we can pursue academic and artistic passions and have another renaissance. I hate hearing that someone has become a billionaire after destroying jobs and the planet, only for people to be dying gof preventable diseases. It is messed up.

We deserve better. We need to do better.
