Well, as I wrote yesterday I had a dream about being an alpaca farmer. That would still be really great. I would love to have enough fiber to process into various products. Alpacas have such fun personalities. If I was making money doing that, I could have more house bunnies! Then even more fiber to work with. Instead of just processing, I could have space to get into dying the wool.

The alpacas I have spent time with have all had such distinct personalities. Even the grumpy ones have enjoyed a good pet. Honestly, ideally it would be nice to have it be an animal rescue for the various wool animals. They could live out their lives and I could harvest their wool and fleece. It would be a nice symbiotic relationship. There are rabbits, alpacas, llamas, sheep, and goats. I could have quite the menagerie.

I do not necessarily want to breed any animals but I would like to have them. A lot of people get into this thinking they are going to make money and that does not really happen. To be financially successful you have to make more money than you spend and I always end up putting all my money into our animals and bettering their standard of living.

Currently I am a struggling writer trying to break even. If I could run a farm or rescue and break even, that would be perfectly fine for me. Life would be lived instead of being a hustle. I have always wanted to do more artsy stuff and with the pain issues, it is hard to work with my hands on most crafts and art projects. Doing more on the producing product for artists or dabbling in dying and spinning would be a chance to still stay in the communities around fiber stuff.
