Halloween is probably the best thing we have come up with. It is a fun thing for kids with costumes and trick or treating. Even more fun when you are an adult and can buy your own candy and costumes.
Autumn is my favorite time of year and it is nice to have a fun holiday that is not about gifts or religion. I always enjoy a good corn maze, carving pumpkins, and scary movies. I used to love haunted houses.
We have our own lore about the holiday and our own monsters as well as the classics from around the world. It is a fun time to let your imagination run wild and nobody thinks you are strange for enjoying it.
