Honestly, probably Supergirl. Even a CGI dog gets me all worked up if it is hurt. There were also a bunch of other emotionally charged moments in the film. Her mother is dying, the planet dying, being alone without her people, people trying to get their daughter back, just so much.
The dog thing took me over the edge.
It is the issue I have with most Netflix productions. They are always harming or killing animals in their shows and it has absolutely no bearing on the plot. Completely unnecessary animal scenes. If you cannot set a scene without an animal dying for no reason, then maybe you should not do it at all.
However, with Supergirl it was necessary for the movie. And they did not use a real dog yet you felt the emotional connection.
It probably was not such an emotional thing but I have lost my two cats in the last few years. It was a quick thing that made them weak very quickly. It was so reminiscent of their illnesses.
