I am all about comfort. My home is my sanctuary. Furniture and fabrics are super comfy. Lots of different places to rest to keep up with the chronic pain problem. I love color, every room has a different energy. Living spaces are more active while bedrooms are calm and dark to help with sleeping.
The decor is eclectic. Mostly trinkets from travel and various media that I consume. I have several drawings from two artists that I love, as well as art made by family. A few video game posters as well.
I like knick-knacks that remind me of my pets, so a various collection of those dot the house. As well as a bunch of Stitch figures. He is kind of a mascot for the family. “This family is broken, but still good.” I have photos of the kids, family, and pets all over my walls. Some Lego projects are built and on display.
Basically, if you come into our home, you know exactly what we are about. It is a bit cluttered at times, but we are surrounding by things we love. To me that is what makes it a home.
