I would say that we benefit from a bit of chaos in our lives. I know that chaos creates challenges for me and I like to work through challenges. I find it satisfying. Having kids brought a whole lot of chaos to my life and I tried very hard to make sure everything happened when it needed to. Things would get canceled, moved, or switched. I enjoyed having to react to that and being successful. It was a bit invigorating and I enjoyed it.
Too much chaos is awful, but a little bit pushes our boundaries. It gives us moments of growth. I learn how much I can handle before I break. What truly matters rises to the top and everything else falls away. You learn what is important to you and everyone around you.
Making it through chaos shows you where everyone else in your life is. Some fall away. Others stand with you. A little chaos is like a reality check. Sometimes you will not like what you find, but in the end it is for the best when things are a little chaotic and not when they are severely chaotic.
