Universal Healthcare would be great! More relaxed expectations of a work week, parental leave, and the like. Even midday siestas would be neat. So many other countries are so more relaxed than the US. It is expected in many countries to be able to live without working excessive hours.
With our adopted kids we celebrated Lunar New Year/Chinese New Year. It allowed us to celebrate a holiday that the kids did not have emotional baggage about. It is a very fun festive holiday about reunions, cleansing, and good fortune in the new year.
You are supposed to scare away bad luck and clean your house to get rid of bad vibes. Children get token monetary gifts. Then you celebrate you your family.
I am honestly shocked the US has not completely appropriated the holiday. It is such a fun one.
