Personally, I like to listen to angry, angsty music. I can tell when I have calmed down when the music slowly transitions away to more upbeat and fun songs.
I like to be alone while I unwind. If it was a bad day, I might get myself a treat like a dessert or some other thing that makes me happy. Sometimes I eat boxed macaroni and cheese.
It is nice to be surrounded by things that you find familiar and enjoy. That’s how I like to treat myself after getting through the day.
