I am Mnemosyne.

I am the mother of two adoptive children, Jacqueline (16) and Cady (17). They are my two six year olds (I adopted them six years ago). I am a stay at home mom. I earned my bachelor’s degree in sociology and psychology.

This blog will cover adoption, parenting, trauma and probably a lot of cringe. A lot of topics will come up including, but not limited to: autism, adhd, sexual abuse, neglect, child abuse, ptsd, alcoholism, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation and other mental illnesses. 

The information and opinions contained in this blog do not and should not replace medical opinions by a trusted medical professional. This is just the story of myself and my journey. Names have been changed to protect the children. 

I just want to share my story to let you know that you are not alone. We can all get through this.
