I wish I could draw. I know it is something you get better with over time, but even after trying for a long time I am not very good. It has been incredibly frustrating. My partner is amazing and I have known a lot of people who can create such amazing works from just paper and a pencil. I struggle.
I do well with color and blending, but drawing things that I actually want to draw has been such a struggle. It is beyond frustrating. There are lots of different art mediums and some that I do have skill with, but I want to be able to draw. I want to see something and be able to recreate it. I want to dream of something and be able to bring it to life.
It is such a unique gift to be able to do it. I hate that everyone is trying to use AI to create things that they cannot create themselves. To let a program consume all the art that people have been able to create by hand and feed it to an algorithm to have it spit back out as so much less than the original source. If you want artwork, pay an artist. There are amazing artists who do work very cheaply and you would be feeding their talent and not a machine.
Art is a gift to the artist. We should all appreciate what artists can do. We do not need a machine to do something so beautiful and amazing as art.
