My father had just started his own business in the middle of nowhere with his new wife and toddler. Things were not going well financially and there was a lot of struggle to find healthcare for the kid. Renting a home while they waited for housing to become available.
My mother on the other hand had a high schooler and and elementary age child to take care of on top of having a full time job, her husband having a full time job, and the two of them sharing their own business. They fully owned our home by this point.
I have one kid in the house, a bunch of critters, and I am trying to start a new career. Not too different over all. Still working towards paying off our home.
