Honestly, I have lived in the country and I much prefer being in a city with sewers and an electrical grid, but imagining I have those things I would choose to live outside a city again.

Mostly, I want to have a couple barns. I would love to have a herd of alpacas and we could have another barn for other animals. Then I would like an addition to the house to let the indoor animals have time in a safe enclosure where they can enjoy nice weather.

I have also always loved the look of Victorian homes with the tower or turret. I would love to have my home office/craft space be in the tower. It would be so great. However, I need the home updated for plumbing and electrical. The houses we looked at when we were house hunting were in our price range, but only because we would have had to completely gut the homes to update them to modern standards. These upgrades would have bankrupted us forever.

The home overall will need to be colorful. My current home has multiple different colors throughout and it is so nice and cozy. A couple bathrooms. A few bedrooms. Formal dining rooms are great for family game nights. A den for video games.

A full HVAC system would be amazing. Current home only has half the house set up and summers are miserable. With climate change, definitely going to need a better cooling, heating, and air filter system.

Then a man cave or something in the basement for my partner and kids to have friends over to hang out. The basement would have windows to let in natural light. That is what we are currently working on in our home. It is about a third of the way there.

Then a large kitchen with two ovens and lots of counter space. I enjoy holiday baking and hosting the family, so more kitchen space is always desirable.

Always fun to dream and think about things like this.
