Been kind of a rough week, so I thought a nice light-hearted question would be a nice change of pace.

If I were to win the lottery, first, obviously, pay off all the debt. Pay off the vehicle, the cards, the house, and reinvest in the house. We bought the house over a decade ago with plans to finish the basement and redo the garage with a mother in law apartment above it. Be able to buy the kid a safe, reliable used vehicle for her to drive around in. Redo the yard, honestly. Have not had much time over the last few years to keep up with it and it would be nice to have the lawn redone.

Actually set up those safety net savings accounts that you are supposed to have. That would be fantastic and really help alleviate a lot of fear for the future. Would add a pet savings account for vet bills, then maybe we could get a couple more cats.

After that, probably figure out how much it would be to do all the world traveling I have always wanted to do. Set that aside and have that ready to be used.

Pay off my kids’ college costs.

Probably help my parents out with any debts they may be struggling with or help them move to my area.

Anything else would probably be donated to charities, animal rescues, and the like. I have always wanted to set up a couple scholarships in my kids’ honor to help out kids like them reach their goals.

It is always fun to think of what you could do. My mom and I have daydreamed about this for years. Maybe someday…
