If you didn’t need sleep what would you do with the extra time?

For me, an insomniac, I don’t really sleep much most of the time. The real treat for me would be that while my family sleeps, that my activities would not wake them. I would love to get caught up on the housework, do some meal prep or get started on the holiday stuff.

During the day, it is difficult to get any of these tasks done because someone is either always under foot, needs a favor, or I just have to drop whatever I am doing to sort out their issues.

Lately, I have been writing a lot while they sleep and that has been quite enjoyable because that is also hard to do while they are awake. The constant interruptions and questions make it really difficult to finish a thought.

Now if you are asking about something I would enjoy as a purely extra fun thing for me, then the answer would be baking or taking care of my craft projects. While I’m doing those activities I like to turn the music up and just enjoy the moment. I do not like to be interrupted or second guessed as I am in the middle of something. Time to use my brain and trust my own judgement is really appreciated in today’s world.
