And we are back…

A lot has happened since the last post. More than I care to go into in one post, so expect more regularly posting from now on.

A quick recap of everything that has gone on….

We met with the birth mom of our kids. This was at the end of our solar eclipse mini vacation in April. For me it was a pleasant, if a bit off putting experience. I can say that it was an overall positive interaction. I also have a huge weight off of me. Their birth mom has a seizure disorder, so I have always been afraid that something terrible may happen and she may die before the girls ever got to meet her, but now they have and I do not have to worry any longer!

After this, my time was filled with dealing with a lot of emotional unrest in the house. The girls took a very long time to process their thoughts and feelings and are still not done.

Then we went into the end of the school year! We had a play, end of cheer season fun, Girl Scout meetings, 4-H paperwork, high school banquets, IEP meetings, occupational therapist leaving, so many therapy appointments, new glasses for everyone, band concerts, fundraisers, appointments for the parents before summer starts, vet check ups for all the critters and just so much trying to fit sleep into a very packed schedule.

I learned about “May-cember”. It is the phenomenon at the end of the school year when everything gets so busy like in December, but no holidays. That was May for us. Trying to get summer plans solidified. Trying to sort out things we finally could afford to do again.

Also, we got another rabbit! And we started to go to rabbit shows! It is really neat. I have seen so many different breeds of rabbits. Our rabbits have received really great reviews from the judges, so we have really enjoyed ourselves.

I am sure that even more stuff has happened since the last post, but that is the bulk of everything we have been up to. Stay tuned for more deep dives into the chaos!
